Islamabad: Mainstream and social media, both, have been buzzing with the rumors of a tape scandal of famous politician.
Talk regarding a video tape scandal has been on in the talk shows and twitter for the last two days.
Several media anchors and journalists have signaled towards an impending leak of the video that contains immoral content of a senior politician of Pakistan.
Dr. Shahid Masood, a senior media personality, today tweeted on his personal twitter account that he has watched the video himself. He tweeted, “@Shahidmasooddr: Just watched ‘Video’ of a political leader, which was mentioned in different talk shows. These dirty tricks will further pollute the system.”
Another anchorperson with Geo TV, Hamid Mir came out in the open and named the politician (who features in the alleged video tape). He tweeted yesterday, “@HamidMirGEO: Tape scandal against Imran Khan is a political conspiracy, PML-N must condemn it otherwise fingers [will raise] towards PML-N.” (sic)
Besides social media, current affairs talk-shows on news channels are also hinting towards this tape.
Hamid Mir’s Capital Talk on Geo News yesterday with Imran Khan also suggested towards ‘dirty tricks of attacking personal life’.
Shahzed Khanzada, today, in his program To The Point on Express News featuring Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad (Leader of Awami Muslim League) also signaled towards a video tape.
Currently no video tape has been out in the open but there are strong rumors that it will soon hit the social media.
