Malala’s father may get job in Pak High Commission

ISLAMABAD: (The News International) The father of Malala Yousafzai, the icon of bravery flown to Britain for treatment after being shot in the head by terrorists at pointblank in Swat, is likely to get a job in Pakistan High Commission London so that he along with his family could stay for a few years abroad. Well placed sources in the Interior Ministry confided to The News that Ziauddin Yousafzai, father of Malala, was all set to apply for asylum in the United Kingdom along with his family, which could have been further embarrassing for Pakistan as enough embarrassment has been faced in Malala’s case.

The sources said that Rehman Malik assured Malala’s father of a job in Pakistan High Commission in London and assured that he won’t apply for asylum there. The sources added Rehman Malik has also spoken to President Asif Ali Zardari regarding Malala’s father’s job in UK and has got a nod from him as well. Ziauddin Yousafzai, his wife and their two sons flew to the UK on October 25. “Malala is hailing and it may take several months for her complete recovery therefore by offering the job to Ziauddin Yousafzai in Pakistan HC in UK, the family would be able to live there for next few years”, the sources maintained.
